The fine print, in plain language
Terms & privacy
Custom fabrication has a few rules that differ from buying something off a shelf. Here they are, without the boilerplate.
Made-to-order terms
Every piece is built to your approved drawing. A deposit reserves bench time and covers materials; the balance falls due before the build leaves the shop. Lead times are quoted per build against the current schedule.
Changes and cancellations
Changes are free while a drawing is unsigned. Once panels are cut, changes are re-quoted as additional work, and deposits on cut material are not refundable.
Returns on custom work
Because pieces are cut to your dimensions and finish, custom builds are not returnable. If something arrives damaged or is not built to the approved drawing, tell us within a few days of delivery and we will repair, refinish or rebuild it.
Freight and risk
Shipping is quoted separately and billed at cost. Inspect crates on arrival and photograph any damage before the carrier leaves; those photos are what a freight claim turns on.
Wood and finish variation
Grain, tone and figure vary between boards. Sample photos show a representative finish, not an exact match, and natural wood will move slightly with humidity.
Your information
We collect what you send us in an enquiry: name, contact details, event details and the files you attach. We use it to quote and build your project. We do not sell it, and we do not share it beyond the freight carrier handling your delivery.
Quote list on this site
The quote list is stored in your own browser. It is not an order, it does not reserve stock, and nothing is charged until we agree a quote in writing.
Images and content
Photographs, copy and drawings on this site are our own work. Please ask before republishing them.
Questions about any of this belong in an email before you place a deposit, not after. Ask us.
